- Banned Eliza Dress in Burgundy -

The Banned Eliza Dress is one to grab now in preparation for those chillier Autumn days that will be here all too soon.

This dress is a medium weight material, and is fully lined, which is pretty rare in vintage reproduction. I'm wearing my standard Banned 3xl, and found it to be snug due to the lining and non-stretch fabric. I easily could have sized up in this, particularly across the hips as th
is isn't a swing cut.

The Eliza is a modest dress, with a high bodice and back, and is past knee length (I'm 5'2"). It has a sturdy centre zip and pockets, though I'm of the opinion that Banned pockets (if and when they appear) are inferior to Hell Bunny.

The autumnal palette of a Bordeaux tartan with green, burgundy and cream check detail is classic, and invokes retro librarian chic vibes. The bodice is finished with a small bow detail, but my favourite feature of the Eliza is the cut out half sleeves, which add unexpected interest to an otherwise classic cut.

The Banned Eliza is going to be on high rotation in my autumn and winter wardrobe.
