- Hell Bunny Maisy 50's Dress in Blue -
The Hell Bunny Maisy is a dress I've been after for a long time and somehow kept missing out on. This is simply the sweetest dress I've ever worn, and my daughter made me promise to let everyone know that this dress is particularly special because her name is Maisie.
I'm wearing my usual Hell Bunny 3xl and found it a great fit. The dress comes with a white satin sash, but I didn't care for it and have chosen to pair this dress with a plain white belt. I might use the sash to make a sweet headband later, but I'm wearing a Kitty Deluxe chiffon scarf in my hair for now.
The fabric is a small gingham print with a little stretch. It's the perfect picnic dress, and would be fabulous with a white petticoat underneath (I'm not wearing one). The skirt is a full swing, making it perfect for dancing.
The bodice is a sweetheart neckline with a lace dot panel at the top, finished with a matching gingham trim. I recommend wearing a strapless bra with this style. At the back, the gingham panel goes up past my bra strap, and is closed with a zip, then the lace panel has a cut out and is finished with a button. The capped lace sleeves are generous.
The Maisy is mid length (I'm 5'2" for reference) and while there are no pockets, I think the overall sweetness of this dress more than makes up for it. The Hell Bunny Maisy will fulfil all your Dorothy Gale and Cinderella dreams.
It truly is a fairy tale dress.
